ಒಣ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಸೋಂಕು ರೋಗದ ಹಾಗೆ ವ್ಯಾಪಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ವಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಹೊಸ ವ್ಯಾಧಿ ಆಳವಾಗಿ ಬೇರೂರುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ಅನಗತ್ಯವಾದ ಮಾತಿನ ವ್ಯಸನ ಎಂದೂ ಕರೆಯಬಹುದು. ಈ ವಾತಾವರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜಕಾರಣಿಗಳು, ಪಕ್ಷಾತೀತವಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ಥಾನಮಾನಗಳನ್ನೂ ಲೆಕ್ಕಿಸದೆ, ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತತೆಯನ್ನೂ ಪರಿಗಣಿಸದೆ ಬಡಬಡಿಸುವ  ಅಭ್ಯಾಸ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಯಾವುದೇ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಾದರೂ ಯಾವುದೋ ವಿಷಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ಈ ನಾಯಕರ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ಯಾವ ಪರಿಣಾಮಗಳೂ ಉಂಟಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಮುಖ್ಯವಾದ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕುರಿತ ಪತ್ರಿಕಾ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ಆರಂಭವಾಗುವ ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಅಂತ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲದ ವಿರೋಧಿ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಗಳಾಗಿ ಅಥವಾ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ನಾಯಕರ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಮೀರಿ, ಅವರ ಅರ್ಹತೆಯನ್ನೂ ಮೀರಿ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಮೂಲ ಸೌಕರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಬೇಕಾದ ಒಬ್ಬ ನಾಯಕ ಭೌಗೋಳಿಕ ರಾಜಕಾರಣದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ವಿಧಾನಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂದೂ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದ, ದನಿ ಎತ್ತದ ಪುಢಾರಿಗಳು ಹಠಾತ್ತನೆ ಸದನದ ಹೊರಗೆ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ನೈತಿಕತೆಯ ವಕ್ತಾರರಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡತೊಡಗುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅನೇಕ ಪ್ರಸಂಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹುರುಳಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟತೆ ಅಥವಾ ಪರಿಹಾರಗಳೂ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಉತ್ತರದಾಯಿತ್ವವಂತೂ ಸುತಾರಾಂ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಕೇವಲ ಪ್ರಚಾರದಲ್ಲಿರಲು ಈ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಗಳು ನೆರವಾಗುತ್ತವೆ. ಇದು ಕೇವಲ ಆಕ್ಷೇಪವಲ್ಲ. ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಸಂಸ್ಕøತಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಒಂದು ರಚನಾತ್ಮಕ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ...

ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಪ್ರಬಲರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆಯೇ? ಧರ್ಮಸ್ಥಳದ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತ ಹಲವು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಅನುಮಾನಾಸ್ಪದ ಸಾವುಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಹೆಣಗಳನ್ನು ಸಮಾಧಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಆರೋಪಗಳನ್ನು ತನಿಖೆಗೊಳಪಡಿಸಲು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ವಿಶೇಷ ತನಿಖಾ ದಳ (ಎಸ್‍ಐಟಿ) ರಚಿಸಿರುವುದು, ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸವನ್ನು ಮರಳಿ ಗಳಿಸುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಣಾಯಕ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯೆನಿಸಿದರೂ ಸೌಜನ್ಯ ಅತ್ಯಾಚಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಹತ್ಯೆಯ ಪ್ರಕರಣವನ್ನು ಈ ತನಿಖೆಯ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಗಿಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಲೆಕ್ಕಾಚಾರದ ನಡೆ ಅಚ್ಚರಿ ಮೂಡಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಹಲವು ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹುಟ್ಟುಹಾಕುತ್ತದೆ. ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುವುದಾದರೆ, ಇದು ಕಾನೂನು ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಣ್ತಪ್ಪಿ ನಡೆದಿರುವುದಲ್ಲ. ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಧರ್ಮಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದಿರುವ ಲೆಕ್ಕವಿಲ್ಲದ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ಸಾವುಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಇವುಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಿತ ಮೌನದ ಒಳಹೊರಗನ್ನು ಸಾಂಕೇತಿಕವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಸುವ ಒಂದು ಪ್ರಕರಣವನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ತನಿಖೆಯ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಹೊರತುಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ರಾಜ್ಯ ಗೃಹಸಚಿವರು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕವಾಗಿಯೇ ಹಿರಿಯ ಐಪಿಎಸ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಪ್ರಣಬ್ ಮೊಹಂತಿ ನೇತೃತ್ವದ ಎಸ್‍ಐಟಿಗೆ ಸೌಜನ್ಯ ಪ್ರಕರಣವನ್ನು ತನಿಖೆ ಮಾಡದಿರುವಂತೆ ಸೂಚಿಸಿರುವುದು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೆ ಆಘಾತಕಾರಿ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ರವಾನಿಸಿದೆ. ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಇಚ್ಛಾನುಸಾರ ರೇಶನ್ ಮಾಡಿ ನೀಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂಬ ಈ ಸಂದೇಶ ನಾಗರಿಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಹಲವು ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳ...

ಇದು ಜನರಿಗೆ ತಾಳ್ಮೆಯನ್ನು ಬೋಧಿಸುವ ಸಮಯವಲ್ಲ. ಪ್ರಜಾಸತ್ತಾತ್ಮಕ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಪುನರ್ ಪ್ರತಿಪಾದಿಸುವ, ಸಂತ್ರಸ್ತರೊಡನೆ ನಿಲ್ಲುವ, ನ್ಯಾಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸುವ ಸಮಯ. ಧರ್ಮಸ್ಥಳದ ಮೇಲಿನ ಆರೋಪಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಎಸ್‍ಐಟಿ ತನಿಖೆ ಕೊನೆಗೂ ಶುರುವಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವಂತೆ, ಪಕ್ಷಾತೀತವಾಗಿ ಎಲ್ಲ ರಾಜಕಾರಣಿಗಳೂ ಬಲಾಢ್ಯರಾದ ಆರೋಪಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಥಿಸಲು ಮುಂದಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆಯೇ ಹೊರತು, ನ್ಯಾಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರ ವಿಳಂಬದ ಉಪದೇಶಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ನುಣುಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಗಳು ಇನ್ನೂ ದುಷ್ಟ ಶಕ್ತಿಗಳ ಜತೆ ಆಳವಾದ ಹೊಂದಾಣಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುವಂತೆ ಕಾಣುತ್ತದೆ. ಸಂತ್ರಸ್ತರೊಡನೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಬೇಕಾಗಿದ್ದ ಗಳಿಗೆಯು ಈಗ ಪಕ್ಷಪಾತದ ಚಮಚಾಗಿರಿಯ ಪೈಪೋಟಿಯ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನವಾಗಿದೆ. ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಹಾಲಿ ವಿಧಾನಸಭಾ ಸ್ಪೀಕರ್ ಯು ಟಿ ಖಾದರ್, ಎಸ್‍ಐಟಿ ವರದಿಗಾಗಿ ಕಾಯುವಂತೆ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೆ ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇದು ವಿಚಿತ್ರವಾದ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಅದೂ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರು, ನಾಗರಿಕ ಸಮಾಜ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂತ್ರಸ್ತರು ಈ ತನಿಖೆಯನ್ನು ಹಲವಾರು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದಲೇ ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಏನೂ ಮಾತನಾಡದಿದ್ದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಈ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ಸೋಜಿಗ ಮೂಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಅವರ ಧ್ವನಿ ನ್ಯಾಯದ ಧ್ವನಿ ಅಲ್ಲ, ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಹಾನಿಯನ್ನು ನಿಯಂತ್ರಿಸುವ ವಿಳಂಬದ ಧೋರಣೆ. ಬಿಜೆಪಿಯಿಂದ ಸಿ ಟಿ ರವಿ ಇನ್ನೂ ಒಂದು ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೋಗಿ, ಇಂತಹ ಹೀನ ಅಪರಾಧಗಳು ಧರ್ಮಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಭವಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವೇ ಇಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ...

As the SIT probe into the Dharmasthala allegations finally begins, politicians across party lines are rushing to defend the accused who are powerful —not demand justice.
